Dear Beautiful Community,
There’s something quietly tender about July. The long days stretch out like pages waiting to be filled, and we find ourselves thinking about what kind of story we want to help write.
This month, it started with a question around the cupping table: What does summer taste like when it’s made with purpose? Not just in flavor, but in feeling. And how can we use that feeling to support someone else’s next step?
That’s how the Raspberry Sorbet Latte came to life. Bright, a little unexpected, and full of softness, just like the best kind of summer memories. But beneath the berry and the cream was something much deeper. We were thinking about children in our community who are stepping into difficult seasons without the basics they deserve.
So we partnered with the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation, a nonprofit that’s helping local kids walk into their lives with confidence, by providing them with brand-new shoes, socks, and essentials. Not hand-me-downs. Not leftovers. Thoughtful, intentional items chosen for them. It’s a small shift that makes a world of difference.
As we worked on this drink, we weren’t just thinking about ingredients. We were thinking about dignity. About how something as small as having shoes that fit or socks without holes can completely change the way a child carries themselves. It’s about starting from the ground up, literally.
We’ve always believed that what we serve should carry meaning. Sometimes that looks like a warm conversation. Sometimes, like this, it looks like a latte that’s more than just a seasonal feature. It’s a quiet kind of support that says, “We see you. You deserve to feel good. You deserve to start strong.”
So this July, that’s where our hearts are. Behind the bar. In the community. In every little moment where care makes a difference.
With sweetness and solidarity,
Mother Roast
