Dear Beautiful Community,
I’m sitting here with my coffee, reflecting on the past few weeks and how quickly January has come and gone. The start of a new year always carries a certain kind of energy, a fresh beginning, a clean slate, a chance to set intentions for the months ahead. And as I look back on the first chapter of 2025, my heart is full.
This month, we had the honor of partnering with the Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation, and it has been nothing short of eye-opening. From the moment we were introduced to their work, our hearts were opened to the challenges the visually impaired community faces every single day, particularly the lack of inclusion in spaces so many of us take for granted. That realization pressed on us in a way we couldn’t ignore, and it led us to a small but deeply meaningful step forward.

That is why we partnered with NBCF to develop braille menus, now available at all Mothership and Sunrise locations. Meeting this need has been a labor of love, one that we hope makes our cafés more welcoming to a community that is so often overlooked. Because everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and included.
Did you know Nevada is one of only seven states without a school for the blind? That reality is hard to imagine, and yet, it makes the Foundation’s work even more essential. They are not just filling a gap, they are creating a lifeline. Whether it’s teaching children how to fold their bills to identify their value or helping them gain the skills they need to navigate the world with confidence, the Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation is giving these kids something priceless: the ability to live fully and independently.

This partnership has reminded us why we do what we do. Coffee has always been more than just a drink, it is a way to build bridges, foster connection, and contribute to something bigger than ourselves. Through this collaboration, we have been able to turn that belief into action, and for that, I am so grateful.
As January comes to a close, I can’t help but feel hopeful for the year ahead. If this first month is any indication of what’s to come, I know 2025 will be filled with moments of purpose, connection, and community.
Let this be a year where every cup of coffee carries more than just warmth, it carries hope, love, and the promise of a brighter future for these kids.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Here’s to deeper connection, greater awareness, and small acts that make a big difference.
With love,
Mother Roast
