ORIGIN & STORY

From: Smallholder Farms, Veracruz, Mexico

About:
Sourced from the high-altitude slopes of Veracruz along Mexico’s Gulf Coast, this coffee reflects a region shaped by volcanic soil, tropical humidity, and slow cherry maturation. These natural conditions encourage sweetness, gentle acidity, and a smooth, rounded body in the cup.

Production in Veracruz is rooted in smallholder farming traditions, with most farms spanning just 2 to 5 hectares. Coffee is grown under shade, handpicked at peak ripeness, and carefully washed to preserve clarity and balance. While there is no formal cooperative, these independent producers are supported by local exporters and regional networks that help bring Veracruz coffee to the global stage while honoring sustainable practices and generational knowledge.
