Notes I Jotted Down This Month, With Love

Dear Beautiful Community,

January, somewhere between the new year and the last of the cold mornings.

I wrote the word heart in the margin today and circled it twice. It was still January, but February was already knocking. Love was already on our minds, just not the loud kind. The steady kind. The kind that holds on.

That’s when the Salted Sweetheart Chai started taking shape.

January, a few cups later.

We weren’t trying to make something flashy. We were craving comfort. Something grounding. Something you could wrap your hands around on a quiet morning or share with a friend who knows all your stories. Chai felt right from the start. Warm spices. Familiar. Then came the salt. Just enough to balance the sweetness. Suddenly it felt complete. Sweet, but strong. Soft, but sure of itself. Honestly, very Galentine energy.

Side note written in the corner:

This drink feels like your best friend. Sweet, supportive, and never too much.

As January unfolded, we kept coming back to American Heart Month and asking ourselves who we wanted to stand beside as February began. That question led us to the Children’s Heart Foundation here in Nevada.

Learning about them stopped us in our tracks. Founded by parents and pediatric cardiologists, their work comes straight from lived experience. They support heart families not only medically, but emotionally, educationally, and financially. They understand what it means to live with uncertainty and still show up with love every day.

Late January reflection.

This is heart work. Not the kind wrapped in ribbons, but the kind that keeps beating through long days and longer nights. The kind that deserves to be seen and supported.

Behind the scenes, this partnership shaped how we thought about this drink. It became less about a seasonal feature and more about intention. About recognizing families who carry incredible strength quietly. About honoring love that looks like resilience, patience, and hope.

So here we are. February 1.

The Salted Sweetheart Chai finally meets the world. Whether you’re celebrating your Galentines, your Valentines, or just treating yourself because self love is still love, every sip carries a little extra heart.

Sweet chai. Strong hearts. Love you can feel.

Honestly, total heart eyes.

Thank you for stepping into this month with us. For choosing with care. For reminding us that love is not just something we celebrate. It’s something we practice.

With all my heart,

Mother Roast
