This coffee comes from a cooperative of growers in the Guji region of Ethiopia. It presents a clean cup with tasting notes of raspberry and tangerine, with a jasmine tea-like body. Many of the estates in Odo Shakisso are classified as a semi-forest coffee production. In this system, farm owners leave the old growth upper canopy of the forest, take out the lower canopy shrubs, and replace the shrubs with coffee trees. These farms boast an amazing shade canopy (often exceeding 80% or more shade coverage), and some of the best plant diversity and nutrient rich topsoil in the world.
