As a part of the Café Femenino program, this Guatemalan coffee is grown, harvested, processed, and sold/traded by the women of the families and communities in which it comes from. The Café Femenino coffee program was created in 2004 by 464 women in northern Peru, and now exists in various coffee growing regions worldwide. It is aimed at ending the cycle of poverty affecting women in the coffee growing community, providing education, and helping roasters around the world give back a bit more to the hands which harvest their coffee.

A perfect introduction to our line of single origin coffees, this roast brings out the playful, candy-like acidity present in milk chocolate. The lighter body and clean mouthfeel bring out subtle notes of wildflower sweetness, without carrying heavy floral notes. We typically recommend this as a versatile breakfast coffee.

Great shop and great coffee

My husband and I were in Vegas for a weekend and we drove out to Mothership based on the good reviews. We are coffee snobs (saying that in a nice way) and in other cafes we have had a sip and then have walked out as the coffee was bad. Mothership cafes are trendy and styled beautifully, and the actual coffee is really good. We have since started buying the beans and having them shipped so we can have them for our own coffee machine. Mothership is worth the trip if you get the chance!
